About The Builder/Architect
As manager for The Orchard at New Market LLC, builder of Harvest Hill at The Orchard, Seawright Homes LLC brings to bear over 38 years of experience building new home communities particularly well attuned to their physical surroundings, while achieving award-winning recognition for the quality of its land planning, landscape architecture and preservation of native plant material. Steve Seawright, Seawright Homes' managing member,currently is president of the Frederick County Builders Association (see recent article in the Frederick News Post) and also is president of the Maryland State Builders Association for calendar year 2011.
Land planning for The Orchard at
New Market and architectural design for Harvest Hill marks the fourth collaboration between Seawright Homes and
Boulder, Colorado-based architect Downing,
Thorpe & James (DTJ). The architects at DTJ are exceptional designers
of homes that are both imaginative and functional. The partners and associates
at DTJ stand apart from their peers in their unique ability to visualize
how a home's exterior shape, color and texture should relate to other
homes so as to create a visually harmonious community.

Award Winning Community
The
Frederick County
Builders Association (FCBA) has recognized The Orchard at New Market
with five Awards of Excellence, including the “Best Single Family
Home Project” in 2007 for excellence in land development design as well
as sensitivity to the environment, historic nature and surrounding properties. Most recently, Harvest Hill's Gala model received the 2011 Award of Excellence for “Best single family home design for $300,000 -$400,000.” FCBA has also recognized David Denny of Seawright Homes as “Construction
Superintendent of the Year.”
